Rationale:
PhilGeneStrips
Biosensor Kit for Quick Detection of Shrimp Pathogen, can help the Farmers
to easily detect if the shrimp have a Disease, awareness of emerging disease on
shrimp and it is affordable to the
farmers because it can’t cost to much money to buy this PhilGeneStrips and can used in mobile by searching application. In Shrimp Farm Cloud Monitoring Mobile App. It
can reads test strips result, includes strips info (QR code) for quality
assurance and sends data to shrimp Farm Cloud monitoring website or database so
it can easily monitor pond status for Shrimp Pathogens and manage your shrimp farm
using this application. In our generation we found out that the technologies
was appeared in our society,Even in the Past generation they have advance
technologies to share and to say something about themselves so the farmers and other people with
Bussiness can use this Application to Prevent spreading of disease to other Sea
Creature.
Shrimp Pathogen Background:
This Online Phillipine Shrimp
Pathogen Information resource (OPSPIR) is an online database of shrimp pathogen
recorded in the country. It includes isolate reports from outbreaks and
sampling of various pathogens including White Spot Syndrome Virus (WSSV),
Infectious Hypodermal and Hematopoietic Necrosis Virus (IHHNV), Larval Virus
(LV), and Acute Hepatopancreatic Necrosis Disease (AHPND). Aside from the
online database, a biobank was Established containing shrimp tissue, isolated
bacteria and viruses or their DNA or RNA stored archived with physical
barcoding in biosecure ultralow freezers. OPSPIR will be made accesible to the
public through a website and an online server to increase stakeholders’
knowledge of the pathogens and to accelarate the development of strategies for
their management and control.
Methods/ Procedure
Using the test kit:
1.
Put shrimp tissue inside tube. Add lysis buffer Homogenize tissue
using pestle.
2.
Transfer supernatant to tube. Add ethanol. White
precipitate forms.
3.
Transfer suspension to syringe with filter. Push
excess alcohol. Add running buffer to dissolve precipitate. Collect filtrate in
tube 3.
4.
Incubate tube 3 in hot water (95°C) for 5 min.
Incubate in ice water for 15 min. Drop solution on sample pad of test strip.
Read results after 5-15 min.
Findings/ Result
If the result of Genome-Based Lateral Flow Strip
Biosensor shows two lines the shrimp is positive in desease.
If the
result of Genome-Based Lateral Flow Strip Biosensor shows one line the shrimp
is negative in desease.
Conclusion:
I therefore
conclude that to Search easily, using the PhilGeneStrips Biosensor Kit for
Quick Detection of Shrimp, and using Shrimp Farm Cloud Monitoring Mobile
application, it can reads test strip result, and sends data to Shrimp Farm Cloud
monitoring Website & database. In other farmers it is helpful for them
because it is affordable and easily to Used.
Recommendation:
This PhilGeneStrips Biosensor Kit For
Quick Detection Of Shrimp Pathogen, The Test Strips may be coupled with PCR
amplification of DNA extracts for faster, Low level Detection. PCR amplicans is
detected using the Test Strip, getting rid of the electrophoresis step. They
also wants to influence other people to have a knowledge on their work, and for
their Application it takes time to accomplish the test result, it depends on
the shrimp version.
